Summary[]
Plans for the wedding of Shūtarō Mendō and Asuka Mizunokōji proceed, despite the mutual reluctance (if not terror) of both parties. Meanwhile, Ataru continues his perverted quest to get an unabashed look at the beauty he knows lurks beneath Asuka's beastly exterior...
Plot Overview[]
The morning of his arranged marriage meeting with Asuka Mizunokōji, Shūtarō Mendō wakes in a sweat from a horrible nightmare, being unaware that a beautiful maiden lurks inside Asuka's perpetual armor. He has no intention of giving himself over to such a seemingly repulsive suitor, but consoles himself that this is just the first meeting, and not the marriage. However, his father then reveals that the decision has been made to host the wedding straight away, which sends Mendo into a panic. Suddenly, Ataru Moroboshi arrives, supported by Lum and Shinobu Miyake, and attempts to spirit Mendo away to safety for his own ulterior reasons. But the pathetic scheme is quickly foiled and Mendo is recaptured. Meanwhile, at the Mizunokōji estate, Asuka's bodyguards try and fail to quell their mistress's fears, ultimately resorting to the clumsy effort of talking about her big brother Tobimaro Mizunokōji and assuring her that "big brothers" are different to men like Ataru. Finally, the two families meet, with Asuka in her armor and imprisoned in a cage like an animal. Ataru suddenly sneaks into view, and the sight of him is the last straw for Asuka, who breaks free in a panic and flees. Ataru gives chase, with Lum angrily chasing him down, realizing that Asuka must be beautiful beneath the armor. Blasting at Ataru, she accidentally shatters Asuka's armor, revealing her true appearance for the first time. The young Mizunokōji heiress uproots a tree and uses it to pole vault to safety... inadvertently crashing right into her big brother Tobimaro in the process.
