Lum's Courageous Duel! Victory by Cheap Means (ラムの勇気ある決闘！勝利はせこい手で, Ramu no Yūkiaru Kettō! Shōri wa Sekoi Te de) is the 137th episode of Urusei Yatsura.
Summary[]
Lum saves a female junior student from the harassment of Soban and his gang and tells her that anyone can beat a thug with courage only. However, after accepting a challenge against Soban, she finds out that she is not strong at all without her powers and is going to do what it takes to make her friend believe in the power of courage.

Trivia[]
The reanimated scene from The Final Chapter
- The Studio Pierrot logo can be seen on the pinball Anna plays at the beginning.
- The scene of Lum and Ataru doing arm-wrestling has been reused and reanimated in The Final Chapter, although she is wearing her high school uniform.
- Ryūnosuke wears Ultraman's suit.
- Lums training scene, particularly when she's running in a tracksuit, is a reference to Rocky's training from the 1976 boxing drama film of the same name.
- Kyōko Otonashi, Yūsaku Godai and Ibuki Yagami from Maison Ikkoku make a cameo among the students.
- This is the last episode to air in 1984.
Differences from the manga[]
Both versions are practically the same with anime original scenes but the end differs in both versions. In the manga:
- The story begins with Lum noticing Anna in her high school uniform being harassed by Soban's gang.
- Lum doesn't use power wristbands.
- After Lum becomes exhausted as the effects of the pills decrease, Ataru gives a ball to Soban to keep him busy while Lum rests for 3 minutes. Sakura asks Lum what she's been swallowing, and she claims they are vitamins to not disappoint Anna.
- After Shinobu and Ryūnosuke hit Soban together, Anna tries one pill that Kotatsu-neko got in a dustpan while sweeping, and realizes it's not vitamins as she breaks a tree with one punch.
- It ends with Ataru digging a hole and burying Soban in it after Shinobu lures him there, and Anna thanking Lum for showing the importance of courage despite having used steroids. And as Anna departs and the duel appeared to be over, Soban resurfaces under Lum and company, implying that the duel is starting again.
