Magic Realm! Jungle of Terror (魔境！戦慄の密林, Makyō! Senritsu no Mitsurin) and Pickled (酔っぱらいブギ, Yopparai Bugi) are the two segments of the nineteenth episode of the 2022 adaptation of Urusei Yatsura.

Mendō shows some of his classmates, including Lum and Ataru, his precious octopus friends. They, however, are unimpressed by the octopuses, so Mendō introduces them to his most prized friend, the artic octopus Matsuchiyu. Ataru's rude remark made Matsuchiyu escape and as an incentive, Mendō promises to whoever catches and returns Matsuchiyu; he'll grant their wish. The search for Matsuchiyo leads them to the jungle terrain of the mansion, where hilarity ensues.

A bored Ten visits Lum's school hoping to see her, but instead runs into Ataru, who feeds him one of his umeboshi, which makes him drunk. Thereafter, Lum eats an umeboshi herself and becomes drunk, and after eating them, she wanders off, prompting Mendō, Satoshi, and Akira to pursue her. This leaves Ataru and Kōsuke to find the drunken Ten, who starts even more trouble with his fire breath.
Plot

At Mendō's mansion, he carried a small pot of octopus feed and was accompanied by [Lum]], Ataru, Shinobu, Ryūnosuke, Kōsuke, Satoshi, and Hokuto. Mendō leads them to a pool filled with his "friends", some octopuses. After some brusk comments from his guests, Mendō explains that his family crest resembles the Hyottoko, which, looks like an octopus.
Still unimpressed by his octopus friends, Mendō takes the group through a giant freezer where they meet Mendō's artic octopus. Reaching the pool of water, Mendō summons the blue octopus named Matsuchiyu. Once again, the group was unimpressed, but also cold. Ataru then mentions he'd rather eat takoyaki than be there, which Mendō takes total offense to Mendō and Ataru's skirmish; Matsuchiyu escapes raising the mansion's alarms. Although his classmates have absolutely no desire to help him find Matsuchiyo, Mendō promises to grant the wish of whoever finds him.
Afterward, Mendō and his friends searched the jungle terrain area for Matsuchiyu, and each of them had their s once they captured Matsuchiyu. Amid this, Shinobu is covered by leeches, crocodiles surround Satoshi, and a black panther chases after Ataru, which Lum shocks into submission. Mendō then warns the group to be careful as dangerous creatures found in a real jungle inhabit the place.
Out of nowhere, something grabs onto Kōsuke and pulls him into the bushes. Taking advantage of the situation, Ataru, Satoshi, and Hokuto run away, leaving Lum, Shinobu, and Ryūnosuke to check on Kōsuke. When they found Kōsuke, they saw that he was covered in ink.
Elsewhere, Ataru's group, finds Mendō security staff bruised and beaten with strange marks around their bodies. Continuing onward, they hatch a plan to fool Mendō with a fake Matsuchiyo with an animal from the forest. Just then, Shinbo's scream could be heard, and when Mendō and Ataru's group headed toward the scream's location, they find Lum, Shinobu, found Ryūnosuke entangled by a large Matsuchiyo. Mendō reveals that when Matsuchiyu is exposed to extreme heat, he grows exponentially in size.
Ataru's group struggle to fight against Matsuchiyu; however, their efforts are futile against it. After Matsuchiyu rips Ryūnosuke's clothes and nearly does the same to Shinobu, Lum bites and shocks Matsuchiyu into fainting. Mendō then approaches Matsuchiyu and consoles him, which the octopus then grabs and squeezes him, which Lum comments as an intimate embrace.

At Cherry's lot, with Kotatsu-neko, a bored Ten decides to visit Lum at her school. It's there that Ten bothers Ataru and is curious about his umeboshi. So, Ataru feeds it to him, causing Ten to become inebriated and breathe fire on him. Upset that Ataru did a nasty prank on Ten, Ataru tries to prove his innocence by feeding Lum another umeboshi from Kōsuke's lunchbox.
Lum then became drunk herself and proceeded to strip off her school clothes. When Ataru commented that Lum had become drunk too, an enraged Lum shocked Ataru. She then demands more umeboshi, and after eating everyone's in the classroom, Lum wanders off as Mendō chases after her as Ataru is forced to find Ten. Once Lum learns of this from Mendō, she shocks him along with Satoshi and Akira because Ataru cares more for Ten than her.
A female classmate leads Onsen to where the drunken Lum and unconscious boys were. Believing that the boys had fed alcohol to Lum, Onsen demands to search their belongings for any booze. Initially, Mendō and the others tried to brush off Onsen, but wager if he does find any booze in their possessions, they'd dance naked for him, and Onsen holds them to that remark.
Meanwhile, Ataru and Kōsuke plan to bail on their search for Ten to get some ramen. However, they deftly dodge the bolts shot by Lum, who curses Ataru's infidelity. Unbeknownst to them, Ten was right behind them and he set Ataru ablaze, making him run away and be chased by the upset Lum.
Elsewhere, Sakura comments on the number of shocked and unconscious students lying around the hallway. As Sakura treats one of the students, Ten appears from a trash can and tries to breathe fire onto her, but is protected by Ataru and a few students. Cherry then appears and advises Sakura to properly tend to her students' injuries with a bottle of sochu. Sakura takes the sochu and drinks a bit of it, making Ataru try and embrace her. However, Lum intervenes by shocking him and takes the bottle with her.
Back in the classroom, Onsen frustratedly searches through Mendō, Satoshi, and Akira's belongings, upset that they don't have any booze in their belongings. Just then, Lum arrives with the sochu in hand, and Onsen is convinced that it belongs to the boys. Sakura arrives, cradling Ten and dragging Ataru, who was shockingly embraced by Lum, as Onsen coerces Satoshi to fulfill his end of the bargain. On the other hand, Satoshi claims Mendō was the one who gave said it and should fulfill it as chaos ensues within the classroom.
After the credits, the Three Girls Gang announce their revenge plan against Lum, Benten, and Oyuki.
