Ataru goes under by eating a cupcake made by Ran, and Lum rushes into a magical world to track her down.

- Among the characters Lum find in the magical world are Ogami Ittō and Daigorō of Lone Wolf and Cub and the Queen of Hearts of Alice in Wonderland.
- This is the very last episode in the entire TV series to use the Lum no Love Song opening theme. After the series ended in 1986, it continued as an OVA series and the theme itself returned for OAV 8.
- This is also the last episode to use the Hoshizora Cycling ending theme.
Differences from the Manga[]
The plot is the same with some anime original scenes such as:
- Ataru using the refrigerator to cool himself and tricking Lum. Ataru is seen walking outside after Ran is done preparing her cakes.
- Lum going to Ran's house. She goes back straight to where she found Ataru.
- The scenes with Ogami Ittō and Daigorō, and the Queen of Hearts.
