Summary[]

Cherry tells Ten a fairytale that's basically a mishmash of Japanese children's stories, featuring Ataru and Lum as an old couple and Ten as their "son".

  • This is the sixth anime exclusive episode.
  • This episode is mainly based on Momotarō mixed with other stories including Shita-kiri Suzume and the Fountain of Youth.
  • Kintarō and his giant bear make a cameo appearance, probably because Kintarō is also a popular hero from Japanese folklore like Momotarō.
  • While there is some parts where it goes to the normal animation style, the animation for the most part in this one is different and more simplistic than other episodes.
    • Most of this episode in fact takes place in dreams.
  • This is the first episode to air in 1984.
