- The insert song Margarita (first used in the second half of Episode 40) is used again, this time as part of a musical number.
- At the episode's end, a drunken Lum electrocutes Ataru whilst happily embracing him due to her excitement; the last time this gag appeared was in Episode 32.
- This episode's manga chapter equivalent marked the very last time that Lum's "electric hug" gag appeared in the manga.
Differences from the Manga[]
- The plot spine is the same with some minor differences:
- Ten was already in school and not wearing a hat.
- The lunch box Ataru takes to prove his innocence belongs to Kōsuke Shirai who complains further about having taken his sausage when Ataru proposes to go for a ramen.
