It’s Unbearable! Ran's Great Malicious Mission (たまらないっちゃ！ランの意地悪大作戦, Tamara Naitcha! Ran no Ijiwaru Dai Sakusen) is the 193rd episode of Urusei Yatsura.

As Lum becomes annoyed by Ran’s grudges, Ran sends a tiny device called “Personal Controller” to take control of Ataru and make him equally annoying to her.

Differences from the manga[]
The plot is essentially the same except in the manga:
- The story begins with Ran starting a conversation with Lum on the way back home from school, leading directly to the scene where she starts reminiscing about their childhood.
- Kotatsu-Neko, Ryūnosuke and her father do not appear as they had yet been introduced.
- The only events Ran recollects are those regarding the flower crown and the attack of the bees; the memory about the pendant and the lightning strike are anime-original.
- After Ran throws the Personal Controller out of her UFO, it goes directly to Ataru's house, leading to the scene with Ataru, Lum and Ten in Ataru's room at night; the scenes with Ryūnosuke and her father are anime-original.
- The girl whom Ataru tries to seduce in his flashback is a regular, unnamed schoogirl.
- The pack of cigarettes from which the Personal Controller takes a cigarette is branded "Mild Seven" in the manga, which was a real cigarette brand from Japan; in the anime, the name reads only as "Seven". Furthermore, in the manga, the pack of cigarettes appears only when the Personal Controller starts smoking, while in the anime, it is already over Ran's desk when the Personal Controller is awakened by her.
- It ends with the Personal Controller merely reminiscing about his past, his speech being permeated with the onomatopoeia 「ぐちぐち」which expresses the idea of someone muttering or complaining; his more detailed speech, as well as the brief scenes with Ran sleeping, Tomobiki viewed from high, and the Earth floating in space, are anime-original.
