Kintarō (金太郎, Kintarō?) is a minor character from Urusei Yatsura.
Biography[]
He first appears separated from his preschool class during a field trip to Earth until he is able to reunite with his teacher with the help from Ataru, Lum and Shinobu. He is sometimes seen hanging out with Ten.
Personality[]
Kintarō is a very temperamental and spoiled child who likes getting his way and does as he pleases with little thought for the consequences. Despite him and Ten being best friends, the two will not hesitate to fight over the silliest things.
Powers and Abilities[]
Like his namesake, Kintarō possesses superhuman strength, being strong enough to break through concrete with ease and carrying a large heavy axe despite being an infant.
His giant pet bear is his main method of transport and a bodyguard of sorts, possessing the strength expected of a giant bear but also having the very odd ability to fly by walking on air.

- Kintarō is a folk hero from Japanese folklore, a child of super strength who makes peace with the animals, thus is often seen riding on his bear companion.
- He does not appear to be the original Kintarō though considering his young age, and it is unknown if he is in some way connected to Earth's incarnation (such as the Kintarō in folklore being his ancestor and/or a member of his unnamed alien race, a past life, or whether its all just a really weird coincidence) as he had no idea earthlings even had their own Kintarō and was quick to call the original a copycat.
