An Oni (鬼, Oni?) is a demon, an ogre, devil, and/or troll or any evil entity in Japanese folklore. The main thing they wore was a tiger printed loincloth and metal/iron clubs. Their skin color was mainly red or blue. They were thought to be indestructible or un-defeatable.
According to Japanese legends, the striped tiger skin clothes worn by male oni were made from a man's bad karma.
The Oni aliens of the planet Oniboshi resemble the Oni of Japanese mythology.
