Shunmin (春眠, Shunmin?) is a minor character from Urusei Yatsura.
Biography[]
Shunmin is a spiritual apprentice of her master Manchinrō, who was put in charge of putting Ataru's class to sleep after flunking her exams, due to her still being unacquainted in her ability.
Personality[]
Shunmin is very arrogant and is quick to insult her master, who considers her his worst pupil.
Powers and Abilities[]
Shunmin is a spirit who posses the ability of sleep hypnosis, and wields two small mallets. She also has the ability to transform into a human girl, and uses this power to seduce Ataru and Mendō into drinking the sleep potion.
She and her master also have the ability to fly on a cloud as their main source of transportation.

- Shunmin's name is possibly inspired by "Spring Morn (春曉)" that created by Meng Haoran (China Tang dynasty poet). The full poem is shown as below:
