Tsubame Ozuno (尾津乃つばめ, Ozuno Tsubame?, Swallow from Oz) is a magician, trained in the West, and Sakura's fiancé.

Biography[]

Upon his return from the west, he and Sakura together with Ataru and Lum go to a at a local disco, which is a perfect setting to prove himself worthy of being Sakura's fiancé to Cherry by displaying his magic abilities that however go awry but ultimately impress Cherry enough for him to win Sakura's hand. However, the two still haven't tied the knot and their relationship is always in jeopardy. Both are so so busy with their careers that they have hardly any time to spend with each other, and whenever they do get together, problems always occur. They never once have a date that isn't halted by some huge misunderstanding between them or a catastrophe brought on by someone intruding on their affairs.

Powers and Abilities[]

Tsubame regards himself as a skilled sorcerer trained in the dark arts of the west, however his talent with black magic is passable at best or completely random at most, with his powers being mostly confined to summoning monsters or the ghosts of the deceased. His attempts to summon powerful demon lords such as incarnations of the Devil were laughable at best, instead accidentally summoning Santa Claus and Rei by mistake, or even summoning the american superhero Superbatman. Although when properly motivated, such as when Cherry (a true master of the occult) challenged him to a duel for permission to marry Sakura, Tsubame was able to slowly conjure up actual monsters bit by bit, such as vampires, werewolves, flesh golems, and eventually an entire hoard of western monsters alongside Cherry's eastern yokai by using Ataru as the nexus point, with his summons including beings from mostly European origin such as gorgons, cyclopes, satyrs, centaurs, imps, gargoyles, Jack O'Lantern, the Mirror Demon, and even a few aliens. However upon accomplishing this seemingly impressive feat, Tsubame revealed to an interrogative Cherry that he did not know how to get rid of monsters yet as he hadn't taken banishing lessons.

He is also capable of channeling ghosts and summoning them back to the world of the living through zapping their graves, even summoning his own father back from the grave to meet Sakura, however even his own father points out that Tsubame's aim is sloppy, having not just summoned his father but almost half the graveyard by mistake and could not be rid of them. Tsubame was also incapable of getting rid of one ghostly girl who got attached to him and needing Sakura's help to get rid of her.

Relationships[]

Sakura

Tsubame is Sakura's fiancé. Being so busy with their careers, they barely have time to spend with each other, and any date they do go on is put in jeopardy by either a grave misunderstanding or interference from others (usually Ataru and company).
